The Lance Armstrong Foundation’s Peloton Project has grown considerably over the past few years. Because of the hard work of our Peloton Project members, the Ride for the Roses has grown larger each year, beyond our expectations and the capacity of our roads.

In 2006, the LAF is replacing the Peloton Project program with a series of LIVESTRONG Ride events so that we can accommodate more enthusiastic supporters and provide more opportunities to get involved and ride. With events in New England, Southern California, Denver, Portland and Austin, the new LIVESTRONG Ride Series will help the LAF engage more people who want to support our efforts to help people with cancer.

The name and structure of the Peloton Project has changed, but your mission has not! This year, 6,500 Peloton Project members together collected more than $7.4 million in donations from 47,000 individual donors and were represented in all 50 states and in 26 countries. Peloton Project member support is critical to the LAF’s efforts to inspire and empower people affected by cancer and a very important part of our history and growth. Of course, we want our Peloton Project members to be part of our future, too.

We intend to formally announce the LIVESTRONG Ride Series on January 2, 2006. We hope our Peloton Project members will welcome the opportunity to participate in new events and welcome new members to our family of fundraisers and supporters.
